Emergency Medicine Physician – Fraser Canyon Hospital

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time and/or part‑time physician to join the Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine at Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope, BC. The position provides 24/7 emergency care, stabilization and triage for a rural community and the high volume of travellers using the surrounding highways.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency medical assessment, stabilization and triage around the clock.
• Manage acute and trauma cases in a 16‑bed community hospital.
• Collaborate with nursing and allied health staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and provide coverage for hospice services as needed.

Required profile

• FRCPC (Emergency Medicine), CCFP‑EM, or ABEM certification.
• Eligibility for provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC); CPSBC USA‑certified registration accepted.
• Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications.
