Elementary French Teacher (Occasional)

About the role

The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is looking for Elementary French Teachers (Occasional) to join its occasional pool, serving elementary schools in the Halton Region (Burlington, Halton Hills, Oakville and Milton). Teachers on the roster can immediately apply to long-term occasional Core French and French Immersion assignments. The schedule is 10 months per year, as required, with a daily rate of $289.52 and an immediate start.

Required profile

• Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers before starting employment.
• FSL Part 1 (or equivalent).
• Oral and written French proficiency, plus oral and written English proficiency, since the board is English-speaking.
• Criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening, dated within six months.
