Senior Advisor Training

About the role

Evolution Mining is hiring a Senior Advisor Training for its Red Lake operation in Northwestern Ontario, a site with three underground mines and two processing plants. You will lead, coach and mentor the Training Advisors so that all training programs and projects meet Evolution's standards and operational requirements. The schedule is 14 days on, 7 days off, with 9.5-hour shifts; residential is preferred but FIFO or DIDO arrangements are open. The salary range is $121,100 to $163,000 CAD.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all instructors and training programs across the Red Lake operation
• Evaluate and improve training modules continuously
• Develop competency-based training and assessment systems for mining personnel
• Manage employee induction and onboarding, and coordinate external training providers
• Maintain accurate training records and identify training needs through annual needs analysis
• Contribute to the annual departmental budget and stay current with ministry regulations
• Assess training effectiveness with KPIs and feedback, hold signing authority for ministry certifications and promote a safe, compliant workplace

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supervising and managing employees, with progressive experience in mining training
• Preferred: Underground Common Core or Mill Common Core designation
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and mining regulations, and of mining processes and underground environments
• Coaching, performance management and conflict resolution skills
