Drafting Technician

About the role

The Drafting Technician will support engineering projects by creating and reviewing technical drawings and specifications. Working closely with engineers and clients, you will ensure design accuracy and help drive project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs, drawings and design sketches.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Supervise and train other drafting personnel.
• Develop construction specifications, cost and material estimates.
• Prepare contracts, tenders and complete documentation packages.
• Examine drawings for conformity, identify errors and ensure compliance.
• Consult with clients, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements.
• Lead and instruct drafting groups.
