Director of Operations & Supply Chain

About the role

Summit Water is looking for an experienced Director of Operations & Supply Chain to lead operational excellence across its growing organization. Based in Cambridge, Ontario, you will oversee production, supply chain, procurement, logistics, warehousing and inventory management for multiple divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise operations across production, supply chain, procurement, logistics, warehousing and inventory management.
• Create and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity and overall operational performance.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives that reduce costs, enhance workflow and improve service delivery.
• Strengthen inventory management, purchasing processes and logistics performance to support growth.
• Improve operational systems, reporting and ERP processes for better visibility and decision‑making.
• Standardise processes across divisions to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Partner with sales, finance and service leadership to align operational priorities with company goals.
• Build, mentor and develop high‑performing teams while fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Identify margin‑improvement opportunities and support long‑term profitability.

Required profile

• 8+ years of leadership experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution or industrial environments.
• Proven track record of improving processes, increasing efficiencies and leading operational transformation.
• Strong experience with ERP systems, KPIs and operational planning.
• Experience leading multiple teams or departments in complex operational settings.
• Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
• Lean or continuous‑improvement mindset is an asset.
