Aseptic Technician Level I – Night Shift (Cambridge, ON)

About the role
The Aseptic Technician Level I works the night shift (11:00 pm‑7:30 am, Monday‑Friday) in Cambridge, ON, preparing clean‑room environments and equipment for sterile product manufacturing. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the technician ensures all activities comply with cGMP, SOPs and Bimeda quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect and sterilize rooms, doors, floors, walls, ceilings and filling equipment using aseptic techniques and approved chemicals.
- Disassemble, reassemble, test and autoclave fillers, load/unload dry‑heat ovens, and transfer sterilized components to filling lines.
- Conduct CIP, SIP and WFI filtration activities in coordination with batching staff.
- Document all actions in log books and production dockets, stock supplies and manage waste.
- Assist Level II technicians in training new operators and perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong math ability and good command of English (verbal, reading, writing).
- Ability to lift 20‑30 kg, wear full protective gowning for the entire shift, and perform repetitive fine‑motor tasks.
- High integrity, attention to detail, teamwork orientation and initiative.
Required skills

- Cleaning‑in‑Place (CIP) and Sterilization‑in‑Place (SIP) processes.
- Autoclave and dry‑heat sterilization operation.
- Water‑for‑Injection (WFI) filtration.
