Director of Finance

About the role

Director, Finance leads the finance function at RouteThis, an AI‑powered connectivity solutions provider transitioning from SaaS to an AI‑native model. Reporting to the COO, the role partners with senior leadership, prepares board materials and oversees the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain live weekly forecasts across ARR, expense and cash, and lead the annual budgeting process.
• Partner with the COO and CEO to provide forward‑looking analysis for strategy and business planning.
• Own the monthly and quarterly close, including SaaS vs AI revenue split, and prepare board and investor materials.
• Manage cash runway, covenants, AR/AP, collections and foreign‑exchange exposure.
• Lead the Financial Controller and design finance rhythms such as spending approvals and forecasting cadence.
• Support audit readiness, insurance review and internal controls as the company scales.

Required profile

• CPA, CA or CMA designation.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience with strong FP&A exposure.
• Experience in SaaS or subscription businesses, preferably with usage‑based revenue recognition.
• Proven ability to prepare board and investor materials and cash forecasts in close partnership with senior leadership.
• Comfort operating without a CFO and taking ownership of newly built models and processes.

Required skills

• CPA/CA/CMA professional designation.
• Financial modeling and live rolling forecast building.
• Proficiency with AI‑enabled finance tools.
• FP&A expertise.
