About the role

Lighthouse Medical Imaging is looking for a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment and support patients during examinations in North York.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record diagnostic images.
  • Analyze patients during examinations and provide personal assistance.
  • Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and routine checks on ultrasound equipment.
  • Supervise and train other sonographers and students in training.
  • Prepare examination reports for physicians and ensure image quality.

Required profile

  • 2 to less than 3 years of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.
  • Accurate, dependable, and client‑focused with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

  • Ultrasound equipment operation and image acquisition.
  • Equipment maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Abdominal, obstetrical & gynecological, peripheral vascular, adult and pediatric neurosonology imaging.
  • Recording, storing, and processing scanned images.
