Nurse Practitioner - In Clinic

About the role

TELUS Health is looking for experienced Nurse Practitioners passionate about preventive medicine and innovation to work in its clinic in Calgary. The role uses advanced diagnostics and health data analytics to deliver personalized precision care, with mentorship opportunities and flexible scheduling up to 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough virtual health reviews, assess imaging contraindications and order advanced diagnostics such as MRI, DEXA, genetic testing and specialized lab work.
• Consolidate diagnostic results using digital tools into comprehensive health assessments and wellness strategies.
• Guide clients through reviews of imaging and biomarker results, explain incidental findings and help them follow up with their primary care providers.
• Partner with the multidisciplinary Precision Health team to build and implement personalized wellness plans.
• Support the Kids and Youth panels with annual health assessments and ongoing care.
• Provide episodic care to LifePlus patients.

Required profile

• Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent.
• Active, unrestricted provincial license with prescribing and/or lab numbers.
• Preferred: 5+ years as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care or extensive clinical background as a Registered Nurse.
• Preferred: formal training, certification or experience in Precision, longevity and/or functional medicine.

Required skills

• Proficiency in technology-supported care, including familiarity with EMRs.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
