About the role

TELUS Health is looking for certified group fitness instructors to lead engaging classes at its corporate wellness centre in downtown Vancouver. The schedule is on site, with highest priority on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 p.m., and additional preferred times on Tuesdays and Mondays at 12:00 p.m.; potential Friday afternoon or evening classes depend on demand.

Key responsibilities

Plan and lead safe, welcoming classes for participants of varying fitness levels
Provide clear instruction, exercise modifications and guidance on proper technique
Prepare and reset the class space, and report equipment or safety concerns

Required profile

Current group fitness instructor certification and relevant credentials for the class formats taught
Current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications
One to two years of group fitness teaching experience preferred
Reliable, punctual and personable, with strong communication skills

The classes focus on spin / indoor cycling, dance / Zumba, and Pilates or strength and sculpt.
