Assistant Fitness & Wellness Consultant

About the role

Join TELUS Health’s Corporate Wellness team in downtown Vancouver to manage an on‑site wellness centre and deliver engaging fitness programs for employees. This part‑time, temporary position blends facility operations, personal training, group instruction, and program coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily centre operations, maintain safety standards, and conduct quarterly audits.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, track inventory, and recommend purchases.
• Complete member screenings, waivers, and annual health questionnaires.
• Provide fitness assessments, personalized exercise plans, and equipment orientations.
• Lead group classes, stretch breaks, walking/running clubs, and virtual wellness sessions.
• Develop and maintain monthly wellness calendars, newsletters, and information boards.
• Track membership data, participation, and manage the program budget.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and an annual program evaluation.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness, Health Promotion, Workplace Wellness, or related field.
• Current group fitness instructor certification.
• Current personal training certification.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
