Deals Value Creation Analytics Director

About the role

PwC is hiring a Director in Deals Value Creation Analytics in Toronto. The role sits in the advisory line of service, where deals professionals advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring, and on deal integration and valuation realisation. As Director, you will lead analytics engagements that help clients use data, analytics and AI to turn complex business issues into clear commercial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high-profile analytics engagements across sell-side, buy-side, value creation and performance improvement contexts, turning complex data into clear commercial insights.
• Help management teams and investors understand business performance, growth drivers, customer behaviour, pricing, revenue quality, margins, operational efficiency and value creation opportunities.
• Combine financial, commercial, operational and technical perspectives to support fact-based decision making.
• Structure ambiguous problems, define analytical workplans and guide teams from data discovery to executive-ready insights and deliverables.
• Lead business development, including opportunity identification, relationship building, proposal development, client pitches and practice growth.
• Build relationships across PwC, including Deals, Consulting, Tax, Assurance and data and AI teams.
• Support the development of the Value Creation Analytics practice, including methodologies, tools, reusable assets, delivery standards and market-facing propositions.
• Coach and develop team members across technical, commercial, financial and client-facing skills.

Required profile

• Significant experience in analytics, corporate finance, value creation, management consulting, corporate development, private equity, M&A or a related field.
• Experience leading client engagements, managing teams and delivering high-quality work under tight timelines.
• Experience supporting transactions, performance improvement, value creation, corporate strategy, finance transformation or related advisory work.
• Experience contributing to business development and building trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience working with complex data environments and guiding teams through data structuring, transformation, analysis, visualization and insight development.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 20% within Canada and internationally.

Required skills

• Financial analysis and business case development, including forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis, KPI driver trees and investment case support.
• Working knowledge of modern analytics, cloud data and AI-enabled delivery tools, with practical use cases for AI, automation and analytics.
• Strong executive communication and people leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring.

The stated salary range is $175,000 - $225,000, with possible variable incentive pay for eligible employees.
