Deals Restructuring Director

About the role

PwC's Deals team advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring, and its deal recovery management practice helps clients navigate financial distress. As a Restructuring Director, you will work with the partner team to source new mandates, lead teams in executing advisory and restructuring mandates and support the growth of the restructuring team. The position follows the departure of a valued team member.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing new mandates and leading teams in executing restructuring mandates
• Developing and implementing turnaround or realization plans to maximize recoveries for stakeholders
• Preparing financial and cash flow forecasts, detailed models and sensitivity analyses
• Integrating tax, regulatory and legal considerations with turnaround plans, and coordinating distressed M&A or refinancing activities
• Managing stakeholders, running in-court and out-of-court restructuring or realization processes, and preparing reports for key stakeholders
• Delivering in-flight learning and regular feedback to team members

Required profile

• A professional accounting designation or international equivalent, or a similar post-graduate designation
• Experience in a professional services or business advisory environment
• Specific restructuring, operational restructuring or insolvency experience, including advising debtors and creditors and acting under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act
• CIRP designation from CAIRP and Licensed Insolvency Trustee designation from OSB
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time within Canada and internationally

The salary range is $152,000 - $202,000, with possible variable incentive pay. The role is described as hybrid, with exact expectations discussed with the interviewer.
