Data Migration Specialist

About the role

ClearRisk is looking for a Data Migration Specialist to own the accuracy and integrity of moving complex customer data into our cloud‑based risk management platform. The role focuses on mapping, transforming, and validating data rather than software development.

Key responsibilities

• Gather requirements and define source‑to‑target data mapping specifications in partnership with Business Analysts and Implementation team members.
• Own quality verification of data mappings and transformations both before and after load, ensuring data lands correctly and reflects the customer’s business needs.
• Execute standard migrations using ClearRisk’s internal ETL tooling and partner with developers on custom integration builds to validate output.
• Document mapping decisions and transformation logic clearly, and flag data quality issues or ambiguities for resolution.

Required profile

• Strong obsession with data accuracy and quality, with examples of catching subtle data issues.
• Ability to understand business context and question why a piece of data matters.
• Comfortable collaborating with developers without writing code, able to read data models and evaluate results.
• Experience handling sensitive data in regulated environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel/spreadsheet fluency.
• Experience with ETL‑style tooling.
• Basic coding experience in Python and SQL (advantageous).
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted tooling for mapping suggestions or data review.
