Customer Service Representative - Assistance Services

About the role

Global Excel Management is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Windsor, Ontario, to assist people from around the world during travel-related medical and non-medical emergencies. The role sits in a multilingual and friendly environment that encourages personal and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a resource for patients, family members and medical facilities on policy benefits and coverage information.
• Open the initial claim and refer the person to the most suitable healthcare providers.
• Pre-approve medical tests and give customers information on the products and services administered by the insurance company, and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Record interactions and transactions in the claims system while ensuring a high level of customer service.

Required profile

• College diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, telecommunications and/or claims assistance.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Customer service orientation and ability to work well with people in a fast-paced, team environment.

Required skills

• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet).
