Personal Banking Representative (Remote, 12-Month Contract)

About the role

CIBC is hiring a Personal Banking Representative for its Simplii Financial contact centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on a 12-month fixed-term contract starting 11 January 2027 and ending 10 January 2028. The role is primarily remote under the Agent@Home program, with occasional on-site days, and covers the contact centre's Monday to Sunday opening hours of 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for clients calling with questions or requests about their banking needs.
• Help clients manage their accounts and products, resolving issues quickly and deepening relationships.
• Identify opportunities to match clients with the right Simplii Financial products and solutions.
• Connect and refer clients to the right Simplii Financial contacts.
• Listen, ask questions and take accountability for client issues, knowing when to involve others to find solutions.
• Deeply understand the Simplii Financial product suite and proactively suggest banking options that help clients reach their financial goals.

Required profile

• Legally eligible to work in Halifax; a valid work or study permit is required where applicable.
• Ability to work independently as an Agent@Home worker with a secure, quiet workspace and wired internet (minimum 15 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload); satellite internet is not allowed.
• Reside within a 2-hour radius of the primary location, 1809 Barrington St, Halifax, and be able to attend it within two hours' notice.
• Availability and flexibility between the contact centre's operating hours.
