About the role
The Department of Political Science at McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer for the Winter 2027 term to teach POLI 357-001 “Politics: Contemporary Europe”. The course examines political institutions and processes in today’s Europe, focusing on EU member‑states and the Union itself, organized thematically rather than country‑by‑country. Lectures will be delivered in ENGMD 279 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:35 pm to 3:55 pm, running from January 5 to April 14, 2027. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in Quebec. The position offers a remuneration of $11,824 per course.
Required profile
- A completed PhD degree or enrollment in a doctoral program in Political Science or a related discipline.
- Evidence of effective teaching ability demonstrated by successfully teaching a similar course.
- Specialization closely aligned with the course subject matter.
- Experience as a teaching assistant is considered an asset.
