About the role

The Department of Economics at McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach ECON 225-001 Economics of the Environment in the Winter 2027 term. The position involves delivering the 3-credit course (CAP 321) at the STBIO S1/4 location, with lectures scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:35 pm to 6:55 pm, running from January 5 to April 14 2027. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada, proficient in English communication, and will receive a remuneration of $11,824 per course. The application deadline is 15 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach ECON 225-001 Economics of the Environment (3 credits – CAP 321).

Required profile

  • Doctoral level study in Economics, including completed comprehensive examinations for the PhD, or a completed PhD degree in Economics.

  • Specialization closely aligned with the course subject.
  • Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.
