About the role
The Liaison Officer supports the Internship Manager in developing policies, selecting internships, and creating new opportunities for students. The role bridges faculty, departmental advisers, and external partners to enhance the internship experience across the Faculty of Arts.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local and international organisations.
- Oversee internship selection, student placements, and progress monitoring.
- Liaise with departmental and faculty advisers on student affairs related to internships.
- Advise students on opportunities, funding, application procedures, and credit requirements.
- Plan and coordinate events to promote the internship office.
- Prepare statistics, reports, and maintain the Arts Internship database and website.
- Assist the Internship Manager with administrative tasks and supervise casual student employees.
- Participate in problem‑resolution for student internships, including emergency protocols.
Required profile
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and accuracy in data management and communications.
- Strong organisational and results‑driven mindset with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Experience with presentation software, web page editing, and databases.
- Knowledge of HTML coding.
