Course Lecturer – Food Product Development (FDSC 405) – Fall 2026

About the role

McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to co‑teach FDSC 405 Food Product Development during the Fall 2026 semester. The position involves delivering lectures and supervising laboratory sessions for a 3‑credit, in‑person course.

Key responsibilities

• Present lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays (11:35‑12:55 a.m.) in Barton Building, B1‑015.
• Lead laboratory sessions on Wednesdays (10:05‑1:55 p.m.) at Centennial Centre, CC‑215.
• Collaborate with a co‑instructor to cover both product‑development strategy and chemistry‑driven functionality.
• Be available on scheduled final‑exam days, grade exams, and post final grades on Minerva.
• Maintain course materials on the MyCourses LMS and support virtual sessions via Zoom or WebEx as needed.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Food Science or a closely related field.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience in food‑product‑development or comparable courses.
• Demonstrated laboratory experience and familiarity with food chemistry and technology.
• Experience using McGill’s MyCourses platform and virtual learning tools.
• Ability to work in a team‑teaching arrangement.
