Early Childhood Assistant – Full‑Time

About the role

Join BrightPath Kids at Forest Hills Academy in North York as an Early Childhood Assistant. You will work side‑by‑side with Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) and families to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist RECEs with classroom instruction and daily activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Build collaborative relationships with co‑workers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
• Support classroom material organization and cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• Early Childhood Assistant certification preferred.
• Must meet provincial requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR certification.
• Current immunization and health assessment per local health authority.
• Experience planning and implementing early childhood programs.
