Course Lecturer – Canadian Foreign Policy (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Department of Political Science at McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach POLI 342-001 Canadian Foreign Policy during the Fall 2026 semester.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures for POLI 342-001 on Mondays and Wednesdays (08:35 am‑09:55 am) from August 31 to December 4, 2026.
• Prepare course materials, including outlines, readings, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and participation.
• Maintain office hours and provide academic support to students.

Required profile

• Completed PhD or enrollment in a doctoral program in Political Science or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated effective teaching ability, preferably with experience teaching a similar course.
• Specialization that aligns closely with Canadian foreign policy topics.
• Experience as a teaching assistant is considered an asset.
