About the role
The Department of Political Science at McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach POLI 342-001 Canadian Foreign Policy during the Fall 2026 semester.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures for POLI 342-001 on Mondays and Wednesdays (08:35 am‑09:55 am) from August 31 to December 4, 2026.
- Prepare course materials, including outlines, readings, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and participation.
- Maintain office hours and provide academic support to students.
Required profile
- Completed PhD or enrollment in a doctoral program in Political Science or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated effective teaching ability, preferably with experience teaching a similar course.
- Specialization that aligns closely with Canadian foreign policy topics.
- Experience as a teaching assistant is considered an asset.
