Cost Control Coordinator

About the role

ACCIONA, a global company delivering regenerative infrastructure across Canada, is hiring a Cost Control Coordinator in Ontario. The role analyzes and controls project costs, monitors financial data, prepares detailed reports and provides insights that support strategic decision-making and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze project costs and expenses, identify cost trends and variances, and conduct variance analysis between planned and actual costs.
• Assist in developing and managing project forecasts, monitor budget performance and support project managers in updating budgets.
• Prepare cost structure reports and statements, maintain accurate cost records and improve cost reporting systems.
• Track and record project expenses, check data arrays and use financial software to analyze and report cost data.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, contracts and company policies, and take part in internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with project managers and finance teams, and suggest improvements to cost analysis processes.

Required profile

• BA in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field; progression toward CPA is an asset.
• Five years of proven experience as a Cost Analyst, Financial Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience in project management or construction is a plus.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to prioritize under tight deadlines and handle a high workload.

Required skills

• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, with advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.

What we offer

• Annual base salary of $85,000-$120,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
