Corporate Tax Manager (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is looking for a Corporate Tax Manager in Montreal, a newly created role within its Tax practice. The manager advises clients on local and overseas tax matters, acts as a strategic consultant on business analysis, working capital and profit sharing, and helps organisations understand transfer pricing and deal tax implications. The position is bilingual (French and English).

Key responsibilities

• Work with a team to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
• Manage a portfolio of public and private clients across multiple industries and jurisdictions, including budgeting, engagement letters, resource allocation and billing.
• Analyse complex proposals, build recommendations and develop a point of view on global trends affecting clients.
• Coach others, build consensus and manage a variety of viewpoints.
• Coordinate local and global subject matter experts and manage the client's experience.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and French.
• Completion or near completion of the CPA In-depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation (MTax) program.
• Canadian CPA (CA, CMA or CGA) or another accounting designation.
• Proven leadership, business development and entrepreneurial skills, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionals.

Required skills

• Experience preparing corporate tax, partnership, trust and income tax provisions.
• Strong technical background and broad tax skills from prior experience in a professional services firm or in industry.
• Knowledge of corporate tax planning, income tax provisions, controlled foreign companies and BEPS.

The salary range is $87,700 - $137,700. Eligible employees may participate in variable incentive pay programs. The role is offered in a hybrid environment, and the employer provides accommodation for applicants who need it.
