Controller – Finance Leadership (Remote, GTA Preferred)

About the role

Join a mission‑driven health‑technology company as a hands‑on Controller. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as the trusted second‑in‑command for global accounting and finance operations, shaping a high‑performance finance function while working remotely with a preference for candidates near the Greater Toronto Area.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, cash management, treasury, operational accounting, audit, internal controls and tax compliance.
• Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, driving process improvements and system enhancements.
• Partner with the CFO and business leaders to streamline finance operations and support strategic decision‑making.
• Manage post‑acquisition integration and ensure adherence to IFRS standards across Canadian and US entities.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex IFRS accounting issues and lead change initiatives.
• Experience with Canadian and US operations; exposure to other regions is a plus.
• CPA designation highly preferred; experience in technology or healthcare is advantageous.
