About the role
The legal team at Cohere is fast‑paced and cross‑functional, supporting the entire organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape enterprise AI contract management and streamline contractual processes to support rapid growth.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract‑related requests that do not require legal counsel.
- Assist with triage of legal requests and allocate to appropriate counsel.
- Manage and maintain legal document management systems, ensuring contracts and amendments are organized and accessible.
- Monitor contract compliance and key dates, providing proactive notifications for renewals and expirations.
- Oversee the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, including drafting standard agreements and managing approvals.
- Develop and implement efficient contract management processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance to align contract terms with business objectives.
- Support the legal team with contract administration, data entry, and preparation of contractual materials.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of contract management experience, preferably in a fast‑paced technology or AI company.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
- Business‑oriented mindset that balances legal requirements with business needs.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Ironclad contract management software, including workflow and template setup.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency with Google productivity tools.
