Family and Estates Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family and Estates Lawyer to join our private practice in Toronto. The successful candidate will provide expert legal guidance to clients on family matters and estate administration, ensuring their interests are protected and their wishes fulfilled.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as executor, trustee, or guardian in estate matters, managing assets and distributions according to client directives.
• Advise families on legal issues including marriage, divorce, child custody, and inheritance planning.
• Draft, review, and negotiate wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related legal documents.
• Represent clients in court or before tribunals for family and estate disputes.
• Collaborate with senior partners to develop case strategies and maintain high standards of client service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (law degree required for practice).
• Minimum five years of experience in family law or estate administration, preferably in a private‑practice environment.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule, combining office and remote work.
• Strong ethical standards and a client‑focused mindset.
