Contract Advisor – Contract Management Specialist

About the role
The Contract Advisor role is newly created within Elections Ontario to design, build, and implement a comprehensive contract management framework. You will lead end‑to‑end contract lifecycle activities, ensuring contracts are standardized, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s procurement and operational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full contract lifecycle, from drafting and execution to amendment, renewal, closeout, and record keeping.
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, schedules, clauses, and playbooks.
- Monitor contractual obligations, key dates, performance, payments, changes, and risks.
- Administer complex, high‑value agreements from award through completion.
- Collaborate with Legal and Procurement to draft, review, and manage contracts, statements of work, amendments, and extensions.
- Ensure consistent implementation of contracts and smooth transition from sourcing to operational management.
- Establish and maintain supplier performance management, including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, review cycles, and issue‑resolution processes.
- Identify and mitigate legal, financial, operational, and compliance risks; advise business units on obligations, change management, dispute resolution, and compliance.
- Support audit‑readiness by maintaining complete and defensible documentation.
- Assist RFx and sourcing activities by developing contract schedules, evaluation components, and post‑award transition requirements.
