Construction Project Coordinator

About the role

The Construction Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager throughout the lifecycle of construction projects, from initiation to close‑out. This role handles administrative tasks, document control, and assists with estimating and tender preparation to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with bid processes, tender closing, and procurement of competitive quotes.
• Coordinate pre‑planning activities, secure permits, and assemble start‑up files (paper and electronic).
• Manage submittals, track change notices, change orders, and subcontractor back‑charges.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and archiving systems.
• Update and monitor project schedules, milestones, and financial deadlines in collaboration with the PM and Superintendent.
• Support cost control, progress monitoring, and monthly schedule reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma in Construction/Building Technology or related field.
• 1–3 years experience as a Project Coordinator in commercial or institutional construction.
• Ability to read construction drawings, schematics, and field plans.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, trade scopes, and compliance regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with proven teamwork skills.
