About the role
The Faculty Development Office is seeking a Communications Assistant to support the creation and maintenance of online courses. This part‑time position involves adapting existing content, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing course assets.
Key responsibilities
- Create online courses from content provided by the FacED team.
- Adapt and update older online offerings such as Teaching Journey and Peer Coaching.
- Troubleshoot any course‑related technical difficulties.
- Develop and configure course structures in MyCourses, including building initial layouts and importing instructional content created in Rise 360.
- Create and manage badges, awards, certificates of completion, and intelligent agents on MyCourses.
- Verify that Course Merchant links function correctly and propose solutions when access issues arise.
- Compile completed Microsoft Forms responses within online courses.
Required profile
- High School Diploma.
- At least 2 years of related experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
Required skills
- Advanced knowledge of audio/video or graphic software.
- Video editing.
- Building online courses using provided content.
- Proficiency with MyCourses, Articulate, and Camtasia.
