About the role
The Content Manager, Reverse Mortgage will build and manage an always‑on content engine to grow EQ Bank’s reverse mortgage business across broker and direct‑to‑consumer channels. The role blends strategy, editorial leadership and hands‑on execution to deliver clear, credible content in written, digital and traditional formats.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an integrated reverse mortgage content strategy across broker and direct‑to‑consumer channels.
- Own the annual and rolling content calendar, mapping themes, audiences, funnel stages, formats, channels and business milestones.
- Build distinct content plans for homeowners, brokers and influencers, addressing information needs and trust barriers.
- Translate product positioning into editorial priorities that clarify home‑equity value and address misconceptions.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Digital, Creative, Media, PR, Legal and Compliance to deliver content on time.
- Maintain a content inventory and governance process to identify gaps, duplication and refresh requirements.
- Act as lead writer, editor and producer for reverse mortgage communications across web copy, articles, email sequences, social posts, video scripts, webinars and guides.
- Create traditional marketing and sales‑enablement materials such as brochures, case studies and broker‑ready content packages.
- Develop family‑ready content for adult children and equip brokers with compliant tools.
- Interview customers and experts to produce authentic stories and case studies.
- Manage content through review, translation, legal approval and publishing in English and French.
- Own the direct‑to‑consumer funnel content, mapping to audience questions and stage‑specific needs.
- Develop segmented nurture journeys and collaborate with Growth Marketing and Digital teams.
- Define KPIs, measure reach, engagement, conversion and produce performance dashboards.
- Monitor competitive reverse mortgage content and identify white‑space opportunities.
Required profile
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in content marketing, editorial, lifecycle or digital marketing; financial‑services or mortgage experience is a plus.
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling abilities.
Required skills
- Search optimization (SEO) techniques.
- Accessibility best practices for digital content.
- Content design and layout principles.
