Clinician Scientist – Assistant to Full Professor (Tenure-Track)

About the role
The College of Nursing at the University of Manitoba seeks a tenure‑track Clinician Scientist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful candidate will integrate clinical practice with research to advance nursing knowledge, improve health system performance, and address health inequities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an externally funded, practice‑embedded research program aligned with Manitoba health system priorities.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and build research capacity among learners.
- Lead interdisciplinary research teams and collaborate with health authorities, community groups, and Indigenous partners.
- Translate research findings into practice and policy through knowledge mobilization and co‑creation with stakeholders.
Required profile
- PhD or equivalent terminal degree in nursing or a related health discipline.
- Demonstrated record of scholarly excellence appropriate to the appointed rank.
- Experience in securing external research funding and conducting interdisciplinary, population‑health research.
- Commitment to equity, culturally safe care, and socially accountable scholarship.
Required skills
- Research design and methodology in health services or population health.
- Grant writing and management.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
