Clinical Research Coordinator

About the role

The Montreal Neurological Institute (The Neuro) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to lead and advance the CAPTURE ALS research program. This role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, participant engagement, and national collaboration across the CAPTURE ALS platform.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day CAPTURE ALS activities, supporting study visits, recruitment targets, and project milestones.
• Assist investigators and the national CAPTURE ALS team in setting priorities and timelines.
• Record and manage participant information and conduct study visit activities with medical staff.
• Serve as liaison among researchers, participants, the Clinical Research Manager, and the Program Manager.
• Maintain study documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate ethics submissions and amendments.
• Oversee data and sample workflows in collaboration with CBIG and LORIS teams, ensuring quality control.
• Develop and update SOPs, policies, and internal guidelines.
• Support participant outreach, prepare project reports, assist with budget tracking, and contribute to grant and publication drafting.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to identify funding opportunities.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Biology or a related science.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Minimum two years of clinical research experience with direct patient interaction.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Problem‑solving mindset, initiative, and teamwork orientation.
• Comfortable with technology and troubleshooting technical issues.

Required skills

• Experience with data‑management platforms such as CBIG and LORIS.
