Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Adult Epilepsy

About the role

The Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University seeks a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) specializing in adult epilepsy. The position is based at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital (The Neuro) and supports clinical care, research, and education within a leading epilepsy program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care for patients with drug‑resistant epilepsy, including evaluation in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
• Lead presurgical assessment and management of epilepsy cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on translational research projects.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in neurology and epilepsy subspecialties.
• Contribute to the development and dissemination of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) with specialization in neurology or neurosurgery; PhD preferred for clinician‑scientist track.
• Board certification or eligibility in clinical epileptology.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, research, and academic teaching.
• Experience in managing complex epilepsy cases and conducting presurgical evaluations.
