General Internist – Community Hospital

About the role

Delta Hospital is looking for board‑eligible General Internists to provide comprehensive internal medicine care to a diverse community of up to 150,000 residents. You will enjoy a high degree of clinical autonomy, a supportive hospital culture, and the flexibility to shape your practice volume and call schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in inpatient call rotations, including 24‑hour blocks with daytime rounding, ward consults, and overnight home‑call availability.
• Develop and maintain an outpatient practice with zero overhead, including opportunities in the Rapid Access Clinic, Chest Pain Clinic, and stress‑testing services.
• Provide acute stabilization and ward consults, taking full ownership of critically ill patients.

Required profile

• Eligibility for FRCPC registration or ABIM certification.
• Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• Critical‑care experience strongly recommended and a willingness to manage acutely ill patients.
