Claims Investigator – Fraud & Investigations

About the role

Zurich Canada is seeking a Claims Investigator to join its Waterloo office, supporting the identification, investigation, and mitigation of insurance fraud across an assigned region. Reporting to the Claims Fraud and Investigations Manager, you will conduct investigations, produce detailed reports, and collaborate with claims professionals and leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review, triage, and assign investigative referrals to appropriate investigators.
• Conduct fraud investigations, including research, database inquiries, surveillance coordination, and interviews.
• Prepare comprehensive investigative reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Support the identification of organized fraud activity and collaborate with senior leaders throughout the process.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in technical claims investigations, law enforcement, or insurance special investigations (or equivalent education/experience combinations).
• Knowledge of claims law regulations, claims handling processes, and strong analytical and investigative abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, high attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
