Claims Adjuster

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency's regional office in Montreal (Vézina Assurances Inc.) is hiring a Claims Adjuster for its Claims team. You will handle a volume of claims of medium to high complexity across all lines of insurance, working closely with Account Executives and Account Representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Receive claim notices, contact policyholders and perform preliminary coverage verifications
• Provide information to insured parties and follow up on files with policyholders, experts and other stakeholders
• Analyze insurers' decisions and present arguments to support or challenge them when needed
• Verify information received, keep reserves up to date and advance claims through all stages

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in insurance claims in a relevant line
• A claims adjuster permit issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers
• University or college diploma or equivalent work experience; a mix of insurance experience and studies is acceptable
• Fluent French (written and spoken) and proficient English, as the role involves frequent contact with international clients and partners
