Canteen Supervisor – Hotel Food Service

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Canteen Supervisor to lead the food service operations at our hotel in Winnipeg. You will ensure high‑quality meals, efficient service and a safe working environment for both guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies and maintain stock records.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of 1‑2 staff members who prepare and portion food.
• Train staff on job duties, sanitation, safety procedures and the establishment’s culinary genres.
• Ensure food quality and service meet control standards and address customer complaints.
• Oversee delivery of food trolleys and manage records of repairs, sales and wastage.

Required profile

• Client‑focused with excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, nights, weekends and on‑call as needed.
