Room Attendant – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

The Room Attendant joins a hotel housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms and related areas are clean, well‑maintained, and ready for occupancy. This position works on‑site and follows the hotel’s standards for hygiene, safety, and guest privacy.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to established standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest‑room amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize rooms and designated public areas.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, presentation, and required supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Handle cleaning products and housekeeping equipment safely and appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage areas, and workspaces.
• Respond professionally to reasonable guest requests and communicate concerns to supervisors.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel cleaning, or a similar role is an asset.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of performing housekeeping duties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional and respectful approach to guests and colleagues.
• Ability to follow instructions, workplace procedures, and safety standards.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
• Basic English communication skills.
