Deli Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Deli Assistant Manager to lead the charcuterie and cheese department of Supermarché PA in Montréal. The role combines inventory control, staff supervision and direct customer service in a fast‑moving grocery environment.

Key responsibilities

• Place orders, receive deliveries and manage inventory to ensure product availability.
• Organise product layout and maintain the deli aisle according to merchandising standards.
• Create work schedules, approve vacations and oversee day‑to‑day staff management.
• Supervise, motivate and train the team to improve productivity and maintain food‑safety standards.
• Cut, weigh and prepare cold meats, cheeses and other deli items for sale using specialised equipment.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the department, including receiving shipments and storing products in the cold room.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience working in a deli or charcuterie department.
• At least one year of team‑leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb (18 kg) regularly.
• Good knowledge of French; bilingualism is an asset.
