Store and Department Manager – Sault Ste. Marie

About the role

Pino's Get Fresh is opening a new store on Great Northern Rd in Sault Ste. Marie and is looking for an experienced Store and Department Manager. The role combines oversight of daily retail operations with a strong focus on customer service, food safety and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, hire, train and supervise store staff, conducting interviews to build a high‑performing team.
• Oversee daily store operations, including product availability, employee scheduling, promotional activities and maintaining store conditions.
• Ensure compliance with food handling protocols, department cleanliness and health regulations.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, manage stock rotation and minimize waste.
• Implement sales strategies to drive revenue while maintaining operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or food‑service management, with at least 2 years of retail management experience.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities, including hiring and training staff.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Ability to learn and use operational software.
