Breakfast Associate

About the role

The Breakfast Associate works in the Residence Inn by Marriott, Calgary South, ensuring the breakfast area is clean, well‑stocked, and welcoming for guests. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the role focuses on guest satisfaction, safety, and quality standards during early‑morning shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly service at the breakfast area.
• Keep the dining space free of debris and ensure all equipment is operational.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Enforce hotel safety and security procedures, including key control and reporting suspicious activity.
• Write maintenance notices for equipment needing repair or replacement.
• Display food items according to brand standards to enhance guest experience.
• Assist with ordering and managing supplies for efficient breakfast service.
• Follow food safety and handling guidelines from vendors, suppliers, and local codes.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a customer‑service‑oriented role.
• Previous host/hostess experience is an asset.
• Strong teamwork attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Positive, fun attitude with a sense of humour.
• Commitment to the company’s core values.
• High School Diploma or GED.
