Bilingual Paralegal / Legal Claims Specialist (Remote, Quebec)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Paralegal/Legal Claims Specialist to act as the client’s subject‑matter expert for Small Claims Court actions, arbitrations, and customer dispute resolution across both common‑law and civil‑law jurisdictions. The position is fully remote, supporting early resolution, advocacy at hearings, and cross‑functional coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Review and respond to customer demand letters.
• Defend and represent the client in Small Claims Court and CAMVAP matters, both virtually and in‑person.
• Collaborate with Customer Relations to achieve early, customer‑centric resolutions.
• Liaise with dealers, field staff, and internal teams to address complaints.
• Coordinate alignment meetings between Legal and Customer Relations and prepare monthly management reports.
• Provide risk‑based legal guidance, conduct jurisdictional research, and prepare witnesses for hearings.
• Support service capacity planning aligned with business development strategies.

Required profile

• Associate degree or college degree; licensed Paralegal in good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience.
• Fully bilingual in English and French.
• Strong advocacy and hearing representation experience.
• Knowledge of Small Claims Court rules and CAMVAP.
• Automotive sector experience is an asset.
