Bilingual Associate, New Business - Individual

About the role

Manulife's Individual Insurance team is looking for a bilingual associate to handle new business for individual life and critical illness insurance. The position is based in Waterloo, Ontario, and is advertised as hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Input and prepare life and critical illness insurance applications and contracts, checking them against quality control before submission.
• Print, bind and assemble contracts, and review and index documents received from advisors and clients.
• Triage and prioritize emails in a shared inbox from advisors and internal and external sources, ensuring timely routing, follow-up and resolution.
• Prepare, package and mail medical information and letters to insurance companies and clients, keeping confidentiality and complying with mailing standards.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity of 98% or better, using the online reference tool, job aids and Excel tracking reports.
• Work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, with availability for overtime.
• Conduct daily research to spot gaps and issues, and manage client service needs and expectations.

Required profile

• Bilingual in French and English, able to communicate with clients from jurisdictions outside Quebec.
• Proven keyboarding skills with speed, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to correspond concisely with internal teams.
• Ability to multi-task and manage high volumes of work.
• Preferred: knowledge of individual life insurance and a customer-focused approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Keyboarding.
