Audit Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Supervisor to join Baker Tilly’s audit team in Calgary. The role will involve leading audit engagements, coaching staff, and delivering high‑quality service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit engagements from planning through completion, including scheduling, file execution and issue identification.
• Prepare and review engagement work to ensure compliance with firm and professional standards.
• Review financial statements, analytical procedures and client explanations to identify key issues.
• Coach and develop staff accountants, providing day‑to‑day guidance and feedback.
• Monitor engagement budgets, work‑in‑progress and variances, escalating issues as needed.
• Maintain current technical knowledge of standards, regulations and firm policies.

Required profile

• Three to five years of public accounting experience focused on audit engagements.
• CPA designation or near completion.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism, discretion and sound judgment handling confidential matters.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative and adaptable with a strong work ethic.
