About the role
North Road Law is seeking a full‑time Associate Lawyer to join its fast‑growing Burnaby office. The role offers direct mentorship, hands‑on client exposure, and the chance to take ownership of files early in your career.
Key responsibilities
- Manage legal files from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Communicate directly with clients, providing clear advice and updates.
- Draft a variety of legal documents, including contracts, wills, and real‑estate agreements.
- Conduct legal research and case analysis to support client matters.
- Collaborate closely with senior lawyers and support staff in a fast‑paced environment.
Required profile
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent.
- Valid licence to practice law in British Columbia.
- 2–3 years of solicitor experience preferred.
- Strong client communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage files efficiently.
- Knowledge of legal procedures, regulatory requirements, and practice protocols.
- Prior experience in real estate, wills & estates, or corporate/commercial law is an asset.
