About the role
We are seeking an organized Insurance Legal Assistant to support our litigation team in Toronto. The role involves managing day‑to‑day administrative tasks, ensuring smooth communication, and maintaining accurate legal records within an insurance-focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm appointments for attorneys and clients.
- Maintain and update the filing system for legal documents and correspondence.
- Prepare, type, and file correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Assist with document management using PCLaw in the Cloud.
- Handle dictation recordings and transcribe using a dictaphone.
Required profile
- College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
- 3 to less than 5 years of experience in legal support, preferably in insurance or civil litigation.
- Familiarity with litigation and insurance work settings.
Required skills
- PCLaw in the Cloud
- Dictaphone usage
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Outlook
