About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our restaurant in Simcoe, ON. This full‑time, on‑site position will support the daily operations of our Swiss Chalet/Harvey’s location and help deliver a memorable guest experience.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coach front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house staff to maintain brand standards.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing mentorship.
- Monitor inventory levels, schedule staff, and oversee budgeting and financial targets.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Support marketing and promotional initiatives.
- Ensure safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance throughout the restaurant.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Required profile
- Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and varying shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or food‑safety certifications are a plus.
