Architectural Construction Manager

About the role
The Architectural Construction Manager will lead the delivery, coordination, and oversight of architectural construction works for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension project. This role covers stations, ancillary facilities, entrances, public spaces, and passenger environments, ensuring that all architectural finishes are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with design intent and operational standards within a design‑build/P3 environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural construction activities across multiple stations and facilities, including interior and exterior finishes, ceilings, wall systems, flooring, glazing, roofing, waterproofing, wayfinding, and public realm elements.
- Oversee day‑to‑day field operations to ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Coordinate architectural work with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, systems, and vertical transportation scopes.
- Monitor productivity, sequencing, and milestone achievement across multiple work fronts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to resolve constructability issues and maintain alignment with design intent.
- Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, mock‑ups, samples, and technical submittals.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with TRP safety policies, regulatory requirements, and site‑specific safety plans.
- Ensure architectural works meet building codes, accessibility standards, fire/life safety requirements, and project specifications; oversee QA/QC inspections and deficiency management.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading architectural construction on large‑scale rail transit infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and coordinate with diverse engineering and systems teams.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and fire/life safety requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in a complex construction environment.
